Welcome to Cassie Hop Photography!

My name is Cassie Hop and I am a professional photographer serving Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding Metro area. I have a degree in Photographic Technology and Imaging and proudly been in the portrait photography industry for 9 years.

Time sure flies, but I love what I do and freezing precious moments of ones life is just one of the greatest rewards. I think the best part of my job is getting to be creative and creating unique, artistic on-location portrait and wedding photography! I specialize in photographing maternity, newborn, baby, children, high school seniors, families and weddings and almost anything in between. Not only am I a portrait photographer but I am also proud to say I am a wife, mother, aunt, sister and a friend, which I think are some of the greatest blessings of life. I am a new mom, and becoming a new mom is what really got me to get this business of mine on a roll. I have seen my son grow up so fast and I am so thankful that I have photographs of each of his precious milestones, including those fingers and toes when he was first born.

To create my portraits I primarily use natural lighting allowing me to photograph my subjects in their natural environment. I feel this gives the soft, subtle looks to a photograph that is perfect for displaying anywhere, and the most flattering lighting to enhance everyone’s beauty. Most clients choose their home, but parks and downtown are some of the most popular locations. Feel free to be creative, and we can create a beautiful portrait anywhere. The best part of on-location photography is the personal experience and the variety of endless backgrounds. I use your surroundings as the “studio.” This is where wonder, laughter, movement and curiosity are in a setting that is meaningful and saved for a life time. With this said, working on-location means I travel to you! You will never feel rushed. I only photograph one session per day to allow for diaper changes, snacks, clothing changes etc.
